Scholarships In the last 30 years we have given more than 6 million dollars in college scholarships to more than 2,800 deserving students to assist with the pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree. The California Scottish Rite Foundation places a strong emphasis on education and scholarships are provided for degrees in many fields including engineering, foreign service, forestry, medicine, public school administration, public service, and speech and language pathology. The Foundation provides scholarships to fully accredited Colleges or Universities nationwide through several primary scholarship funds including; the Baldwin Scholarship, Harry Lister Scholarship, Ruppert Scholarship, and the William F. Stovall Scholarship. Applicants must be California residents, have a 3.0 GPA, and be planning on enrolling full-time according to their school program. Beyond that, each of our scholarships have more specific requirements. The William F Stovall Scholarship and the Baldwin Scholarship support students pursuing a Master or Doctorate Degree in a field of public service such as Public-School Administration, Speech Language Pathology, Public Administration, Special Education, etc. The Ruppert Scholarship supports students pursuing an undergraduate degree in either medicine, engineering, forestry, or public-school administration. The Scottish Rite Valleys of Santa Rosa, Burlingame, Coachella Valley, and Sacramento are all offering scholarships to undergraduate students who reside in their local communities. The Scottish Rite Valleys of Orange County and San Francisco are offering scholarships to the family members and/or friends of their local masonic members. RiteCare Language Centers PROGRAMS Speech, language and literacy disorders can strike any child – with devastating outcomes. Many of these children struggle daily with the task of speaking, reading and writing. They become used to being teased, ignored, or scolded when they want to say something, when attempting to read, or when asked to write. Unfortunately, countless children with speech, language and literacy disorders are socially promoted from one grade to the next and suffer from extremely low self-confidence and difficulty succeeding academically. The California Scottish Rite Foundation designates the funds raised from their donors to support the RiteCare Childhood Language Centers of California. We have also partnered with several Universities and private practices, like Speech Goals , with the goal of making a lasting difference in the lives of children in California. Each year the Foundation provides support for life-changing speech, language, and literacy treatment of childhood language disorders to more than 2,300 children in communities across the state, free of charge . Since its founding in 1958, the Foundation also provides in excess of over $165,000 annually in support of a wide variety of scholarship assistance to over 70 deserving California students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees.
